About me

Twelve years building backends, mobile apps and AI integrations. I run my own company and ship my own products — four are live right now. Most of my recent work is AI integration: four MCP servers, and a RAG service on pgvector serving public data through language models.

Who am I?

I’m a fullstack developer with twelve years’ experience, and I run my own company, Muida Tech AS. On most of my projects I’ve been the lead developer, tech lead or the only developer — from startups to IoT platforms running in Norwegian municipalities. That has given me ownership of the whole chain: needs analysis and design, data model and architecture, App Store release, operations, and the conversation with the client.

Most of my recent work is AI integration. I’ve built four MCP servers that expose data as tools language models can call — against the Norwegian Business Register and Statistics Norway for company data, and met.no for weather. The largest is Karibu Help, a multilingual guide for newcomers to Norway, where I was tech lead and built the MCP server, the ingestion pipeline and the RAG architecture on pgvector.

Before that came six and a half years at Xepto, where I moved the CityGuard backend from PHP to Java and Spring Boot, built the REST APIs, and wrote embedded C for the sensor boards sending data over MQTT. Then three years at N2 Applied on Python and Selenium test automation, and a simulator that let the team test machinery without physical hardware.

What I care about most is building for people who aren’t technologists — home care workers out in the field, municipal staff, small business owners, newcomers to Norway. That makes me care more about whether something actually gets used than whether it’s elegantly solved. I also lead JaviKoder, teaching children and young people to program.
